
Jack
Casserly is the author of 10 books, including the NYTimes bestseller
GOLDWATER. A veteran journalist, primarily with ABC News and
Hearst. Served as a foreign correspondent for 10 years, seven
in Rome. Casserly covered wars in Korea, Algeria, the Mideast,
Vietnam, and Latin America. He was a longtime ABC Washington
correspondent. Casserly was later a White House speechwriter
for President Ford. His last full-time post was editorial assistant
to William Randolph Hearst, Jr., in New York. He was a 1985
Harvard Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government. Casserly
has won numerous journalistic awards. He was graduated from
the Marquette University Journalism School. He lives with his
wife, Joy, in Prescott, Arizona. They have four sons.
