I
have loved writing for as long as I can remember. I have had
articles and poetry published in numerous publications such
as "Good Housekeeping," "Woman's Day," "The
Christian Science Monitor," "Blue Mountain Arts,"
"The Courier Journal," "Leo" and "Louisville
Magazine" to name only a few. I write a regular column
for "Today's Woman Magazine" in Louisville, KY, and
I do commentaries for Louisville's NPR station WFPL.
I
grew up in Louisville where I married my childhood sweetheart,
Jon. We have been married for almost thirty-two years and have
two grown sons, Ross and Matt.
My
first book, "Starting From Scratch" was released in
February 2005, by Vintage Romance Publishing, LLC. It is an
anthology of true love stories. All of the stories take place
before 1969, and all of the couples are from Kentucky representing
a combined 770 years of marriage. A feature story about my book
and me was written by Katya Cengel, and appeared in "The
Courier Journal" newspaper in February. I have appeared
on WAVE television and WDJX radio to discuss my book. "Starting
From Scratch" may be purchased at Amazon.com, and major
book stores on line.
