I have been a writer for many years now. Writing short stories, non fiction, fiction, poetry, creative non fiction, horror, self help, natural health, articles, etc...... I do a free write online each day -- well almost each day -- at a group called Carpe Diem carpe_diem_@yahoogroups.com that began in March of 2001 Some of my stories have been published in newspapers, and chap-books also. I have had my poems published in many anthologies over the years and now in the UK as well. I am working on a few books at this time, and having fun doing it: An auto biography that will be the longest to do. A book on crystals, chakras, alternative healing modalities, etc. Short stories fiction and non. Children's book on Colors and the Rainbow body and much more.... It never stops. Writing is a way of life. As a writer I can see a story everywhere, that is the fun part. My Education: Writing I attended a Creative Writing course in my home town. I have studied and am studying at Writers Digest, and the Institute of Children's Literature as well as some online groups for writing. I have read many books on the subject of writing, I have a library that is filled with books in which I get my inspiration from. Reading is a way of life for me. Writers must read, is the saying and I can't agree more. Writing to me is a life long learning process, that never stops.

DivaSpeak: a Book of Poetry I am putting together a book of poetry called DivaSpeak. The fourth edition is up and coming. This is a very special project to me. DivaSpeak: A closer Look... DivaSpeak began in a small university town in southern Ontario the first year of publication was 1996, with two subsequent years after that. During its first year it was only open to the women of the campus itself, a year later it became a community project, that was when I was published in it. It continued for another two years. When the fourth year came about the women that began it were getting ready to leave the town to pursue other ventures or continue their education in other towns. They came to me to ask if I would like to continue working with it. I cannot begin to tell you what I felt like when they asked me. I said YES... of course. Although that was back in 1999, and for one reason or another I have not followed thru with it. Now the time is right to move forward with it. DivaSpeak will become a worldwide project. Helping women in all walks of life. DivaSpeak: What comes next DivaSpeak is a Community Project by Mighty Thighs Production. A Woman's Book Of Poetry to be published each year from 2005 onward. My Vision Is to create a world wide community project, with DivaSpeak, it has the same power in it that Vagina Monologues has reaching women everywhere. Having DivaSpeak reading nights at book stores, coffee shops, etc. T-shirts, cups, pens ....with DivaSpeak on it. Bumper Stickers, buttons, etc. Creating a world where DivaSpeak is a household name, synonymous with helping women everywhere. DivaSpeak: Book Sales DivaSpeak will donate a flat rate from book sales example: from every book sold a Dollar will go to the organizations that help women. I want to have fundraisers for DivaSpeak to help pay for printing costs and ads... I also eventually want to have complete funding for DivaSpeak so all the money made from it can go to help women everywhere. This will come with time and effort. And that is why I am here, with this webpage, to get the word out. I have to begin somewhere. Call for Submissions: DivaSpeak 2005 YES!! I am calling for your work.
